We call for restoration of plaques honoring the Confederate Widow's Pension Fund contribution that were removed from state buildings.

Paul Burka, Texas Monthly editor, puts it best: "I’m a history major. I don’t approve of rewriting or editing history. My solution to this issue, which sparked a two-hour floor fight in the Legislature [ed: in 2007?], is to have an exhibit in the Bullock Museum about the contribution of the Confederate Widow’s Pension Fund."
